Activate Calendar
One-Time Service Projects
Listing 8 – 10 projects per month, the Activate Calendar allows volunteers a quick overview of one-time service projects. The Activate Calendar features two different types of projects:
Team Led Projects
Each volunteer that signs up to assist with an Activate Calendar project, serves with a team of Hands On Greater Richmond members, including an experienced Team Leader.
Email Sign Up Only Projects
Hands On Greater Richmond will also host up to five referral projects each month. These projects appear on our Activate Calendar but volunteers are simply referred to the agency via email. Hands On Greater Richmond is not on site during this event.
Volunteer Project Database
Ongoing Volunteer Projects
Hands On Greater Richmond’s Volunteer Project Database allows volunteers to search for just the right ongoing activity. Users can browse by impact area, keyword, geographic area, time frame, skills, or interests.
Team Leaders
Leaders are the root of successful projects!
Through an application process, volunteers may chose to become team leaders. Acting as the host of each project, team leaders are trained to set the tone, introduce people to Hands On Greater Richmond and the nonprofit partner, and ensure a successful volunteer experience.
In return, team leaders gain valuable experience while learning leadership skills, building their resumes, and connecting with community members. |
